WEEKEND / HOLIDAY GETAWAY BREAKS FOR

TEACHERS, ADULTS, PRIVATE OR CORPORATE GROUPS

LUXURY ACCOMMODATION is available in four luxury chalets, all within easy walking distance from the Klip River.

Klip River Lodge is the most isolated of the lodges and could very easily be considered the flagship of the accommodation on the farm. It is in the upper reaches of the river where the water tumbles gently over the boulders in the rocky pools.
The lodge has three bedrooms and each one has an en-suite bathroom to ensure the privacy of the occupants.
A seventh bed could be provided on request.

Stone Cottage is, as its name denotes, built of stone and used to be an old farm cottage. It also boasts three bedrooms, one of which is en-suite and a second bathroom facility.

Fly Fishing: This tranquil venue is suitable for all levels of fly fishing. The avid fly fisherman has some 10km of the Klip River as well as the Kingfisher dam at his disposal when visiting the Estate. The river holds populations of wild and stocked brown and rainbow trout.

The topography of the estate ensures the formation of long deep pools like these, an ideal holding spot for trout as well as exiting fast running water.

Trout breed on the gravel river beds during cold winter months. The cool water from the Steenkamps mountain catchment area, ensures longer hours of fishing. Each cottage has a bag limit of six fish per weekend, while catch and release is allowed.

Our environment:  Come and enjoy an adventure camp at the foot of the picturesque Steenkampsberg with a magnificent view over the Draaikraal valley in Mpumalanga. Although the farm offers both fly fishing and the adventure activities, the two never interfere with one another as each is practised in specific sections of the farm.

Situated 1 760 m above sea level and the average rainfall 850 mm per year. A wide variety of wild flowers and birds occur. It is therefore an ideal place for serious bird watchers, while long hikes in the veld is the order of the day if you are not into fish.
