Skydiving organised in Mpumalanga South Africa

Do you & your team want to skydive?....

then DO it, now or never?

GO TO-> 1: TANDEM:    2:STATIC LINE     3: ACCELERATED FREE FALL

1: TANDEM: Feel the thrill of free fall first time round! No intensive training necessary, you are simply attached by a special harness to a qualified tandem master (TM).  You enjoy the ride the TM does all the work.

A Tandem jump is a one on one skydive where you are "attached", with a special harness to an instructor, and therefore is the quickest way to experience freefall. You will both exit the aircraft and freefall for about 40 seconds at a speed of 120 mph at which time the instructor will pull the ripcord to deploy a parachute that is specifically designed for two people. You will then assist the instructor in guiding the parachute to an on target landing at the drop zone. Tandem jumping is the easiest way to enjoy this experience of a lifetime.

The training for a tandem jump takes approximately 5 minutes and is taught at the drop zone.

Qualifications: Age: To do a Tandem Skydive you must get parental permission if you are younger than 18.
Weight: You must not weigh more than 100 kgs. If you exceed our recommended weight limit, call for additional information.

Requirements: Clothing is really important!!!!  Lace up tekkies is always the best! (Please DO NOT wear any boots like Hi – Tec which have hooks on them, you will not be allowed to jump in these.)  Bring something warm for winter like track suit pants or jeans. A long sleeve top WITH OUT a hood is required.

You may NOT jump with rings on as these once again pose a safety risk of getting caught in the door. A jump suit will be provided for you at the drop zone to protect your clothes.

2: STATIC LINE SOLO:

Static Line parachuting is the traditional method of learning how to skydive. It also forms the platform for a unique “LEARNING TO FLY” team development experience.
Just as with any company or orginisation, parachuting involves a large amount of training and preparation in order to get everyone involved, focused on achieving the same pre-determined goal.
Apart from all the preparation and training required to safely and competently perform the jump, static line parachuting also sets the scene for a dynamic team-bonding and development opportunity aimed at creating the necessary awareness around discipline, focus and interdependency among team members, all of which are essential requirements for achieving positive results.
Without a qualified pilot, instructor, jumpmaster and ground control crew, the parachutist is grounded and will be unsuccessful in his efforts. Teamwork is of the utmost importance.
To the uninformed, parachuting may be regarded as an extreme sport, but for the Canopy pilot it is a zone of comfort away from the ordinary. The Parachute Association of South Africa along with the Civil Aviation Authority and the South African Department of Transport has put rules in place to ensure that the highest standard of safety is maintained throughout all aspects of the sport parachuting.
Allow us to put these principles in place in your business to empower your team to the level where they can push boundaries and recognize opportunities where others might only see fear…

*All parachuting training and activities are controlled by PASA (Parachute Association of South Africa) and the Civil Aviation Authority and authorized by The South African Department of Transport.

FAQ’s
What is static line parachuting?:
Static Line parachuting (no freefall involved) is the traditional method of learning how to skydive. The classroom environment (where you are trained how to do your first jump safely and competently) provides the ideal opportunity for teams to work together under pressure and in unfamiliar circumstances.                                                Apart from the safety-training, teams will also be exposed to problem solving and team related exercises ideal for building team spirit as well as forming the unique bond of experience amongst team members.Upon completion of the training, team members will be ready for their first jump.  Assisted by an instructor they will put on their parachute harness systems, overalls and helmets and will then be checked out on aircraft exit procedures before boarding the aircraft. How safe is it? Parachuting is no longer the daredevil sport of years ago. Regulations ensuring that the highest standard of safety is maintained throughout all aspects of the sport have made parachuting a more accessible pastime to anyone with the desire to experience the thrill of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. All training and operations are recognized and comply with the international standard of parachute training as set out by the world air sports federation, Fédération Aéronautique International. www.fai.org. All parachute training and operations are regulated by PASA (the Parachute Association of South Africa), the South African national federation for sport and recreational aviation (Aero Club of South Africa) as well as CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). www.para.co.za   www.aeroclub.org.za   www.caa.co.za All parachuting training and operations fall under the authority of the South African Department of Transport.  All staff (pilots, instructors, jump masters, ground crew), aircraft and equipment have been certified by international safety regulations as set out by the Fédération Aéronautique International and it’s affiliated partners (PASA, Aero Club of SA, CAA). Technological advances such as the fully steerable square parachute that ensures predictable deployments and pinpoint accuracy on landing as well as automatic activation devices (AADs) have raised the levels of safety enormously. These regulations also ensure that we run a professional orginisation where our clients get the experience of a lifetime! Are there any restrictions?  You must weigh less than 100 kg’s You must be a minimum of 16 (with written parental consent) or 21 years of age. You must be medically fit (a doctors certificate may be requested) How much training is involved? Before performing your first jump, you will undergo a 3-5 hour safety-training course that will include: Introduction: Welcome to our world! We will provide you with all the necessary orientation and background information about sports parachuting to ensure that you know exactly what to expect from the jump as well as understanding what will be expected of you during the training.
Equipment: Here you will be provided with extensive information about the equipment that you will be using on your jump. We will show you how the equipment works, how to fit it correctly for a safe and comfortable jump.
Aircraft drills: You will learn how to move safely in and around the jump planes.
Exit, arch and count: Students will jump from 3500ft and the Static Line deploys the Parachute immediately after Exit. During your jump you will have to adopt the correct body position while the parachute is automatically opened for you. It will take approx. 3-5seconds for your parachute to fully deploy. Canopy Control & Landings: As soon as the parachute has open, you will be in control of your own “airplane”. We will show you how to fly and land your parachute safely back on the drop zone!

Malfunctions:

We will also teach you how to react correctly in the very unlikely emergency situation.

Harness Training: A simulated skydive with all the necessary drills will be your final test before you are cleared for the real thing by your instructor. Here you must demonstrate your competency to execute the entire jump safely before you will be given the go-ahead to jump.

Review: To ensure that nothing has been overlooked, another instructor will conduct a review session with you before your jump. After this, its time to play!

How high do I jump from? A static-line jump is done from 3500ft, where the parachute is opened automatically while you concentrate on maintaining a good body position.

You will then learn the art of canopy control as you, with the help of your ground instructor, safely steer your big parachute safely back to the landing area.

What if I’m too scared to jump?
We will not allow anyone to jump that does not show the ability to perform the jump safely and competently. For those who do not see themselves jumping alone, a tandem jump can be arranged or they can simply accompany their brave colleagues for a scenic 20-minute plane ride and watch them jump from the safety of the aircraft.

After Jump: The jump is usually followed by a braai and drinks, where a prize giving rounds off the team-building experience. Team days can be personalized according to each company’s specific requirements.
Duration under the Parachute until landing is approximately 5 minutes.
A minimum of at least 8 Static Line Jumps must be performed before Freefall can be considered.
Static Line training is the conventional, and cheapest way to learn how to skydive.
